About the role

As the Infrastructure Manager - Service Build Engineering at HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and maintenance of critical infrastructure for the company's service delivery. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this full-time position is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's technology platforms, enabling the delivery of cutting-edge solutions to clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage infrastructure projects within the Service Build Engineering domain.
  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Ensure the successful deployment and integration of RHEL, JBoss, Weblogic, MQ, Kafka, and related middleware solutions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, security, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage project schedules, risks, and dependencies while ensuring adherence to SLAs and compliance requirements.
  • Optimize and streamline infrastructure processes for improved performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with database teams to ensure efficient administration and performance tuning of Oracle and MySQL databases.
  • Provide technical guidance on Unix/Linux system administration, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Implement and oversee infrastructure automation using shell scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place for critical systems.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for infrastructure-related issues and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including architecture diagrams, risk assessments, and status reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Communicate project updates to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Lead a team of engineers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of infrastructure projects within budget.

What we're looking for
