The role:
As Head of Commercial, you will report directly to the Country MD. You will be responsible for building and hitting the revenue plan at category, platform and brand level and overseeing the management of relationships with our clients. You will manage and coach a team of enthusiastic key account managers and support them in interactions with brand partners. You will develop and implement processes to scale our operations while ensuring we enable our clients to reach their ecommerce potential.
Responsibilities:
As the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensure that all brand and store KPIs are met on time.
- Analyze sales performance and advise clients on how to grow their ecommerce sales in a sustainable way. Drive sales through stock availability, pricing competitiveness, effective merchandising and targeted assortment growth.
- Grow revenue and profitability for Intrepid MY by partnering with Business Development on offering new value adding services to clients, optimizing commercial terms with existing clients and scaling existing operational processes.
- Maintain close relationships with both brands and ecommerce platforms. Interact daily with partners to ensure timely and effective implementation of strategy.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to achieving business objectives.
Who we look for - the ideal profile:
- Fluent in English
- Experience with business fundamentals
- Minimum 8-10 years of eCommerce background preferably from a brand/platforms/enablers industry
- Proactive self-starter who understands Intrepid vision & mission and can be the company’s best service ambassador
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills (empathy & flexibility)
- Commercial experience - you understand customer needs and drivers of performance. You leverage your expertise to advise brands on all ecommerce topics. Your strong interpersonal skills including presentation and listening skills allow you to build trust and lasting senior client relationships.
- Managerial experience- you have years of experience in a leadership position. You have managed a team before.
- You have a result-oriented mindset and a track record driving impact in a fast-paced start-up environment. You take ownership. You are nimble and excel at cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficient in excel and powerpoint
