Job Responsibilities

To monitor and supervise architectural works complies with approved architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.at construction sites.
To conduct regular and detailed inspections of architectural works, including finishes, materials, and construction methods.
To review design drawings issued by consultants and specialist contractors or subcontractors.
To liaise with consultants and contractors to resolve discrepancies in the consultants' drawings.
To ensure that all materials delivered to the site adhere to approved specifications and the project's inspection test plan.
To identify and track remedial or outstanding works, ensuring timely completion as stipulated in contracts.
To identify defects and recommend effective solutions.
To prepare monthly site progress reports and document progress with photos on delays or issues affecting the progress of architectural works.
To maintain accurate records of site documents, including plans and correspondences.
To ensure all architectural works comply with building codes, regulations, and project-specific standards.
To provide feedback to contractors and consultants to address any deficiencies in mock-ups or samples.
To ensure that as-built drawings and manuals for architectural systems are complete and accurate before final handover.
To attend and actively participate in all site meetings, providing regular reports to management.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in supervising and inspecting architectural works on construction projects.
Experience in JKR projects will be prioritised.
Additional training or certification in construction quality assurance or building standards is preferred.
Familiar with interpreting and reviewing architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
Demonstrate experience and understanding of local codes, standards, regulations and submission requirements (liaison with client, consultants, subcontractors, authorities including JKR, MBK, BOMBA, PAIP, TNB, IWK and Telekom)
Able to work with minimum supervision and independent
Well-versed with engineering/drafting software e.g. AutoCAD, Staadpro, Revit, Esteem, Orion
Understand the dynamic of working with a team and possess knowledge of client coordination and building relationships
Responsible person with good communication skills
Possess valid driving license and willingness to work on-site and travel as required by the project
