  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Jr. Backend Software Engineer

This position is accountable to provide production support promptly to ensure smooth running of business, develop application based on the requirements provided by users and delivered all tasks assigned on time with good quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop applications and supporting components to meet business needs
  • Conduct unit testing on applications to ensure its readiness for SIT / UAT

§ Assist on functional and non-functional testing of applications

§ Assist Senior team member on system design and documentation

§ Provide effective post go-live system support and maintenance for in-house build application systems

Accountabilities (Individual / Shared):

Individual Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that all product deliveries /change requests meeting the timelines given with good quality

Key Shared Accountabilities:

  • Working closely with team to ensure all systems supported are running smoothly

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.
  • Having 1-2 years working experience in software development
  • Experience in AS/SET programming (an added advantage). Training will be provided if does not have knowledge or experience in AS/SET programming

§ Fundamental knowledge on AS400 Operating System and AS400 Control language.

§ Domain knowledge in insurance industry (an added advantage)

§ Able to communicate clearly with users and team members, in terms of verbal and written

communications

  • Multi-tasking
  • Fast learner. Familiarize with technology used and at the same time master insurance business knowledge
  • Work independently with minimum supervision

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
