We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Commis to join our hot kitchen team. You will assist in food preparation, basic cooking, and kitchen cleanliness to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs in preparing ingredients (e.g. cutting vegetables, marinating meats, making sauces).
- Cook and plate basic hot dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety procedures (e.g. proper storage, labeling, temperature checks).
- Support stock checks and daily mise en place.
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
- Comply with all kitchen SOPs and instructions from seniors.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen tools.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
