We are seeking a skilled Technical Engineer (after sales) to join our team, focusing on solar products. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing performance of our solar solutions. You will work closely with customers post-sales to address technical issues, provide maintenance support, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to customers after the installation of solar systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar panels, inverters, energy storage systems, and other components.
- Installation Oversight: Ensure that solar systems are installed correctly and in accordance with company standards and industry best practices. Conduct site visits to inspect installations and verify compliance with specifications.
- Customer Training: Develop and deliver training sessions for customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of their solar systems. Provide clear and comprehensive documentation to assist with ongoing system management.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for solar systems. Work with field technicians to ensure timely and efficient resolution of technical issues and system malfunctions.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of installed solar systems using diagnostic tools and software. Analyse performance data to identify potential issues and recommend improvements or optimizations.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with addressing their concerns and providing timely updates on service requests. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including issue resolutions, maintenance schedules, and customer interactions. Prepare regular reports on system performance, customer feedback, and service outcomes.
- Product Feedback: Gather and analyse feedback from customers regarding product performance and service experiences. Work with the product development and engineering teams to relay insights and contribute to product improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure that all post-sales activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols. Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes affecting solar technology and service practices
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Certifications or specialized training in solar technology or systems are advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support or after-sales engineering role within the solar industry. Proven track record of managing post-installation support & maintenance for solar products.
- Strong understanding of solar technologies, including photovoltaic systems, inverters, and energy storage solutions. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and performance monitoring software.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Experience in performing system inspections and ensuring compliance with technical standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to provide training and support in a customer-focused manner.
- Can manage multiple service requests and maintain accurate records.
