Corporate Finance Manager
Job Summary:
The Corporate Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, capital management, and strategic financial decision-making to support the university's growth and sustainability. This role involves managing financial risks, optimizing investment strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The incumbent will play a key role in developing financial models, forecasting cash flows, and supporting mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Develop and oversee financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business expansion plans.
Monitor financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue optimization.
Investment & Capital Management
Assess and optimize the university’s capital structure, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Identify investment opportunities and evaluate their financial viability.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and regulatory bodies.
Corporate Strategy & Business Growth
Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships through financial due diligence and valuation analysis.
Identify and evaluate new revenue streams and business expansion opportunities.
Develop strategies to enhance financial sustainability and institutional growth.
Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate governance, and internal controls.
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Work closely with auditors, regulators, and legal teams to ensure transparency and compliance.
Financial Reporting & Stakeholder Management
Prepare and present financial reports, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and investors.
Drive process improvements in financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s Degree or professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CFA, CIMA) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning, or investment management. Experience in the education sector is an advantage.
Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in financial software (SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage financial projects, and influence strategic decisions.
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to assess risks, identify opportunities, and develop innovative financial solutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report presentations.
Preferred Qualities:
Experience in higher education finance or nonprofit financial management.
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
