Short Role Summary:

Our client are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager with a strong background in audit and tax. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal audits, ensuring that financial statements are accurate and comply with relevant regulations. You will also work closely with the senior finance team to drive financial strategy, manage audits, and optimize tax operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial data, adhering to internal controls and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
  • Provide financial insights and support decision-making for business strategies.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable, and manage cost controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and efficiency.
  • Assist in audits, tax filings, and other financial procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting, including IFRS and local Malaysia regulations
  • Experience in managing budgets, forecasting and financial planning for a manufacturing plant is crucial
  • Ability to handle cost analysis, cost reduction initiatives, and understanding of production cost and inventory valuation
  • Understanding of tax law and able to work with tax agents
  • Exposure to internal and external audit (Big 4 experience is preferable)
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends and provide actionable insights
  • Accurate processing of financial transactions, reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Able to work closely with other departments, such as operation, supply chain, sales to provide financial insight and support decision making
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and SAP
  • Comfort with using data analytic tools such as Power BI

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
