Job Summary

The principal objective of the position is to lead and participate in the development, direction, teaching, facilitation and examining of the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programme at University or other schools in the discipline areas. The appointee maybe required to cross-teach at other University school/campuses and locations, within Malaysia.

Requirements

  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or a related allied specialty, recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council.
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or related courses.
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g., Master’s, PhD, or Fellowship) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or a relevant field is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, preferably within a medical school setting.
  • Active registration and licensure to practice medicine in Malaysia, or eligibility to obtain such registration.
  • Demonstrated research experience in a relevant medical discipline, with a record of publications or collaborations (preferred).

Job Description

  • Contributing to the development, facilitation and delivery of the undergraduate medical school teaching programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and allied specialties.
  • Organising programmes of instruction, including lectures, tutorials, practical activities and assessment in a discipline area for undergraduate students at University.
  • Liaising closely with the Dean and relevant staff at, University regarding curriculum development, teaching programmes and examinations.
  • Evaluating and assessing student achievement in formal courses.
  • Advising and mentoring undergraduate students and providing advocacy as appropriate.
  • Maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
  • Supporting students by participating in the Personal Tutor system.
  • Promoting innovative education technologies as appropriate to support the course content.
  • As appropriate, pursuing independent research or research collaborations relevant to the undergraduate medical school.
  • Preparing subject content for e-learning purposes as requested.
  • Ensuring course curricula and materials are kept up-to-date.
  • Undertaking overseas assignments as may be required.
  • Complying with Malaysian statutory legislation and implementing University rules and requirements in furtherance of your own and general staff welfare and safety.
  • Undergoing programmes of training and development as may be required from time to time.
  • Performing such other related duties as may be requested from time to time.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
