Assistant Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Finance Manager for our client (which is an established listed company on Bursa Malaysia) to oversee the company’s financial reporting, accounting, and audit functions. The successful candidate will report to Group CFO to be responsible for preparing financial statements, and managing audits and ensuring compliance with Bursa Malaysia’s regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in corporate finance, accounting, and regulatory reporting, preferably a Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) member. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the company’s full spectrum of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, Securities Commission (SC) guidelines, and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS). • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for submission to Bursa Malaysia. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit standards, and corporate governance requirements. • Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits. • Maintain and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance. • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and senior management. • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and corporate strategy.
