RESPONSIBILITIES AUTHORITIES

The Project QA Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and successful launch of new products and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). This position collaborates closely with the Development, Production, and Quality Control teams to establish and maintain quality standards throughout the product lifecycle, from initial design to mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI) & ECO Support: Work collaboratively with the Development team to facilitate New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.
  • Test Equipment & Documentation Preparation: Review new product drawings, ECOs, and related information to prepare necessary test equipment, methods, and checksheets for use by the Production and Quality Control teams.
  • FA Stage Monitoring & Data Collection: Coordinate with the Quality Control team to monitor and capture critical data during the First Article (FA) stage of new product/ECO development.
  • Quality Issue Analysis & Reporting: Summarize and analyze new product quality issues to provide actionable input for improvement activities before mass production.
  • Customer Feedback Communication: Ensure all critical quality information is effectively communicated to customers through the Development team.
  • Quality Issue Closure Verification: Verify that all identified quality issues have been resolved by the Development and Production teams prior to mass production.
  • Production & QC Team Preparation: Prepare and ensure all necessary information and documentation are readily available and understood by the Production and Quality Control teams before mass production of new products/ECOs.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of experience in quality control or related field
  • Able to work under pressure, independently and have high integrity.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
