Job Summary:

The Front Office Assistant plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest service by handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries efficiently. This role ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for guests while maintaining hotel standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide efficient check-in and check-out services.
  • Handle guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations professionally.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Manage guest payments, issue invoices, and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth room availability.
  • Maintain a neat and organized front desk area.
  • Uphold security procedures, including verifying guest identification and ensuring key control.
  • Assist in handling emergency situations according to hotel protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or Duty Manager.

Requirements:

  • Education: SPM or diploma in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) is an advantage.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
