- Carry out examinations necessary for the monitoring of maternal and foetal well being and the progress of pregnancy up to term.
- Recognize risk factors in a pregnant woman and refer promptly for further management.
- Provide a health talk on parenthood, childbirth hygiene, nutrition and breast feeding.
- Care and assist the mother during labour and to monitor the condition of the foetus in utero by clinical assessment skill and cardio tocogram monitoring.
- Assist in spontaneous vaginal delivery / instrumental deliver.
- Manage mother on induction of labour.
- Prepare mother for elective / emergency Caesarean Section.
- Administer im syntometrine / oxytocin after delivering shoulder of newborn.
- Able to receive newborn through caesarean section.
- Able to assist in Neonatal Resuscitation.
- Examine and care for the newborn.· Monitor the wellbeing of the mother in the postpartum period, and to give all necessary advice to the mother and also on infant care to enable her to ensure the optimum progress of her health and that of the newborn.
- Administer injection Hepatitis B and injection Vit. K to the newborn.
- Carry out the treatment as prescribed by a doctor.
- Provide family planning information.
- Maintain all necessary records.
- Take cord blood for G6PD for all newborn.
- Take over nursing report from shift to shift and carry out task as requires.
- Follows doctors’ rounds and carry out orders accurately and timely.
- Carry out all the care rendered to the patients accurately and in a timely manner.
- Chaperon patients for procedures / to clinics.
- Do frequent ward rounds to ensure patient’s safety are being look into and inform doctor if any change of condition.
- Identified patient needs and subsequent nursing interventions will be evaluated anddocumented in the Patient Plan of Care.
- Maintain accurate record of nursing care / activities carried out for the patients.
- Ensure the patient’s record and charts are in proper order and away from unauthorized personnel.
- Discharge baby to mother.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,543.76 per month
