Job Summary:
As a Junior Interior Designer at The Door Interiors Sdn Bhd, you will work closely with senior designers and project managers to assist in creating functional and visually appealing interior spaces. You will be involved in the design process from concept to execution, contributing to various stages of a project, including concept development, material selection, space planning, and client presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of design concepts and presentations for clients.
- Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to create design solutions that align with client needs and project objectives.
- Prepare detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software.
- Select appropriate furniture, fixtures, and finishes that match the design concept and client budget.
- Participate in client meetings, providing support with design ideas, presentations, and adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials and project execution.
- Help with site visits to ensure that designs are being executed according to the specifications.
- Manage and track design progress to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the interior design industry.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), 3D Max
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, space planning, and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A creative, problem-solving attitude with a passion for design.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, though prior internship experience in interior design is a plus.
