Job responsibilities:

To set up and operate steel rolling machines to process metal into required dimensions and specifications.
To adjust machine settings such as roller pressure, speed, and temperature based on material properties.
To monitor production processes to detect any irregularities and ensure product quality.
To conduct regular inspections of rolled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
To identify and correct defects or deviations in the rolling process.
To perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on rolling mill equipment.
To follow all safety guidelines and company policies to prevent workplace hazards.
To report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Qualification(s):

Minimum SPM, technical certificate, or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
1–3 years of experience in steel rolling or metal processing operations.
Knowledge of rolling mill machinery, steel properties, and quality control standards.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.
Willingness to work in shifts and adhere to safety protocols.
Prior experience in a steel manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with automated rolling systems.
