Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Demi Chef / Chef de Partie to join our hot kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen, strong culinary skills, and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. You will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and ensure smooth operations in the hot section.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in the hot kitchen according to company standards.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost control.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following health and safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when necessary.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and waste management procedures.
- Adapt to kitchen needs and support other sections when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef / Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a hot kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of hot kitchen techniques, cooking methods, and food safety.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
