COST MANAGER, Renewable Energy
Job Purpose:
Responsible for full-cycle cost management of projects in the Asia-Pacific region, leading the establishment and maintenance of the regional cost database, deeply involved in bid pricing and price evaluation, and assisting contract performance supervision to ensure project cost targets are met. Supports efficient operations and profitability growth in the region while actively participating in risk control and compliance management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Cost Database Management
- Lead the establishment, maintenance, and updating of the regional cost database, ensuring data accuracy, real-time updates, and traceability.
- Guide the formation and maintenance of country-specific cost databases to enhance data reliability and applicability, providing strong support for regional cost analysis.
- Monitor and analyze market price fluctuations in different countries, updating the database promptly to support cost control and bidding processes.
2.Cost Estimation & Bid Pricing Support
- Responsible for project cost estimation, optimizing bidding and pricing strategies based on historical data and market trends to ensure competitive and reasonable pricing.
- Participate in bid pricing and price evaluation, leveraging regional cost databases to analyze industry benchmark prices and improve pricing accuracy.
- Research competitor pricing strategies, analyze price fluctuation trends, and provide pricing adjustment recommendations.
- Support the bidding team to ensure project cost estimation is reasonable and aligns with corporate profit targets and market positioning.
3.Local Subcontractor Quotation & Management
- Responsible for local subcontractor cost inquiries, price evaluations, and management within the region to ensure cost rationality and competitiveness.
- Assess fluctuations in local subcontractor market prices, optimize supply chain and subcontractor management models, and enhance project cost efficiency.
- Monitor subcontract execution to ensure payment progress, compliance, and achievement of cost control targets.
4.Contract Performance Supervision Support
- Assist the regional contract performance supervision team to ensure strict compliance with contract terms, minimizing claims and disputes.
- Identify cost risks in contract execution and provide solutions.
- Monitor project cost execution to ensure actual costs align with contract budgets and pricing targets.
5.Risk Control & Compliance Support
- Identify risks in cost management and develop countermeasures.
- Ensure regional projects comply with corporate compliance policies and local legal regulations in cost management, subcontractor management, and price evaluations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, provide compliance support, and ensure transparency and traceability of cost management data.
6.Other Duties Assigned by Leadership
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by leadership as required for business development and operational efficiency.
- Provide cost management support to other departments to improve cross-functional collaboration.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Quantity Surveyor, Project Management, Economics, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of international business experience, with cost management or bidding experience in overseas engineering projects.
- Have participated in the fulfillment management or cost management of at least 2 projects, capable of independently completing cost estimation, data analysis, and management support.
- Preferably with experience in the Asia-Pacific region, familiar with local market environments, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficient in using SAP, Oracle ERP, Primavera P6, and cost management software.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Southeast Asian languages (e.g., Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian) is an added advantage.
- Willing to accept long-term travel assignments.
