I) BOILER STEAM ENGINEER
- Monitor and control the operation of steam boilers to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adjust and regulate controls for pressure, temperature, and water levels in the boiler system.
- Ensure all systems are operating within safe and efficient parameters.
2. Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform regular maintenance, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing boilers and associated components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as boiler malfunctions, leaks, and system failures.
- Conduct periodic inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Replace or repair damaged parts, such as pumps, valves, and safety devices.
3. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure boiler operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and codes.
- Perform safety checks and tests on all systems, ensuring that all safety equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate records of boiler inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
4. System Monitoring and Optimization:
- Continuously monitor the performance of steam systems to optimize energy consumption and reduce operational costs.
- Use diagnostic tools and data analysis to identify performance inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
- 5. Training and Supervision:
- Emergency Response:
- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers or maintenance personnel on proper boiler operation and maintenance.
- Supervise the safe operation of boiler systems, ensuring adherence to best practices and procedures.
- Respond promptly to boiler system breakdowns and emergencies, diagnosing issues and taking corrective action as needed.
- Ensure quick restoration of normal operation to avoid downtime.
Support the Head of the Maintenance Department with the following task:
1. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
- Plan, schedule, and perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize the risk of breakdowns.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures and malfunctions, diagnosing the problem and implementing corrective measures to restore functionality.
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and part replacements.
- 2. Equipment Optimization:
- Continuously monitor and assess the performance of equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing adjustments to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on machinery.
- Conduct tests and inspections to ensure machinery operates within optimal parameters and safety standards.
- 3. Repairs and Overhauls:
- Perform major repairs, overhauls, and replacements of worn or damaged parts, such as motors, pumps, valves, bearings, and seals.
- Coordinate with external vendors or service providers for specialized repairs, if necessary.
- 4. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that maintenance work complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Inspect equipment to ensure it meets safety codes and regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to prevent accidents, including the installation of safety devices.
- 5. Team Collaboration and Supervision:
- Work with other engineering and technical teams to plan and execute maintenance schedules and projects.
- Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance technicians and operators.
- Supervise contractors or external vendors when they are hired for specialized tasks.
- 6.Inventory Management:
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring necessary components are available for immediate repairs.
- Order parts and materials as required and ensure that stock levels are maintained efficiently.
