a) Control and direct all sales activities of the in-house sales force and day-to-day sales administration work. b) Direct and supervise in-house sales force in the servicing activities concerning agencies airlines and commercial client. And government bodies in order to maximize productivity. c) To market business in respect of rooms, F&B and other rentable areas in order to meet the goals and marketing objectives as laid down by the management. d) Maintain and develop a good rapport with individual and company contacts who have potential to produce business. e) Maintain close liaison with front office and F&B Dept. To maximize and direct sales efforts and implement the sales plan as laid down by the management. f) Represent the hotel at meetings, events conventions when required, to maintain and establish a close working relationship with potential clients of agencies, airlines and commercial organizatiON. g) Responsible to review and administer group space within the target set by the hotel manager in a manner which ensures high occupancy and average rate whenever possible. h) To gather market intelligence on our competitors as well as account profiles on local travel agents so as to keep ahead of our competition. i) To actively assist in preparing the yearly forecasting and budgeting. j) To participate in communication meetings of the entire sales force and attend various management meetings when required. k) Entertain prospective clients and overseas visitors to maintain close working business relationship. l) To liaise with press media on hotel publicity and promotion. m) To handle all public relations functions relating to the hotel. n) To perform any additional duties and responsibilities as may be required by the management.
