Job Description Geoscience Ops Manager Refers to developing, directing, and applying technical knowledge and methods to design, implement, and achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products, processes, technologies or events in Geomatics. Typically: • Manages specific discipline activities for an asset or country OR end-to-end project management of large / multiple projects (mid-sized projects). Holds Technical Authority - TA 2. Develops new strategy, policy & procedures on clearly defined topics, in line with Shell overall strategy and policies. • Accountable for HSSE Risk Management and leading changes in Safety Culture. Actively drives Safety Leadership, Sub-surface Process Safety and operational/contractor HSSE, influencing decision makers to achieve improved safety outcomes. Coaches and inspires broad range of stakeholders. • Safety Critical leader if high risk operation exists within portfolio (typically drilling or data acquisition activities only). Accountable for HSSE performance. Leads changes in Safety Culture across a broad spectrum of HSSE areas (Safety Culture, Environmental Management, HSSE Risk Management, Sub-Surface Process Safety, Operational/Contractor HSSE, Health and Security, Travel/Office HSSE, HSSE Performance and reporting). Coaches and inspires broad range of stakeholders. • Manages complexity of Technical portfolio and Technical environment • Typically at EC-5, reporting to Manager or GM.
