Job Summary: The Project Engineer (Construction) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from initiation to completion. This role involves ensuring that projects meet technical specifications, schedules, and budgets while maintaining quality and safety standards. The Project Engineer collaborates with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver successful construction projects. ________________________________________ Job Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning & Design Coordination • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting. • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility. 2. Site Management & Execution • Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans. • Support the Site Manager in coordinating contractors, suppliers, and labor teams. • Conduct site inspections to assess progress, safety compliance, and quality control. 3. Quality & Safety Assurance • Ensure that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations (OSHA, HSE, etc.). • Perform quality checks and ensure work aligns with engineering standards. • Identify potential risks and implement preventive measures. 4. Budget & Resource Management • Assist in cost estimation, procurement planning, and material approvals. • Track project expenditures and provide cost control recommendations. • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely material deliveries. 5. Communication & Documentation • Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders. • Maintain construction logs, RFI (Request for Information) records, and site documentation. • Facilitate meetings between engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve project challenges. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • 2-7 years of experience in construction engineering, project execution, or site supervision. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in construction software like AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Revit, or MS Project. • Knowledge of construction materials, structural design, and safety codes. Certifications (Preferred): • PMP (Project Management Professional) • OSHA Safety Certification Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Excellent communication and team collaboration. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. Language: • Fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires to deal with Mandarin translation and documentation.
