We are seeking an experienced Application Support professional to join our team for a prestigious banking client. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting business-critical banking applications, ensuring smooth operations, and providing end-user support in a dynamic and high-demand environment. Key Responsibilities: · Provide day-to-day application support for critical banking systems, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations. · Monitor and resolve technical issues related to banking applications, ensuring timely escalation and follow-up with technical teams and stakeholders. · Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to application performance, stability, and availability. · Perform regular system health checks, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of applications. · Assist with incident and problem management by tracking, documenting, and communicating resolutions. · Work closely with the development team to implement fixes and improvements. · Provide end-user support and training as necessary, addressing queries and ensuring smooth user experiences. · Maintain and update knowledge base documentation for future reference. · Support scheduled and unscheduled deployments, upgrades, and patches for banking systems. · Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies related to application and data management. Requirements: · Proven experience in Application Support, specifically within the banking or financial services industry. · Hands-on experience with SQL/MySQL and strong database management skills. · Expertise in Unix/Linux environments, with experience handling production environments. · Knowledge of banking systems, financial applications, or core banking software (e.g., Temenos, Flexcube, Finacle). · Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management). · Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations. · Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with technical teams and business stakeholders. · Ability to document processes, incidents, and resolutions clearly. Preferred Qualifications: · Prior experience working with payment systems, loan management systems, or other financial software. · Knowledge of middleware technologies and application servers. · Familiarity with cloud-based environments and solutions (AWS, Azure). · ITIL certification or equivalent experience in support frameworks.
