As an Accountant in Malaysia, you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to making possibilities happen in the payments industry! This purpose of this Accountant is: Maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May prepare local reports and tax returns. May interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations. A Typical day at ACI for an Accountant is: • Support the APAC Accounting Team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounting services across Asia Pacific countries. • Performs accounting functions for various general ledger accounts which involves the preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. • Assist in the monthly General Ledger (GL) close process. • Manage the E-Invoicing process to ensure compliance and efficiency. • Handle GST, VAT, SST, and withholding tax filing. • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset register. • Alerts management of potential internal control issues or non-compliance with policy. • Provides internal and external audit deliverables. • Provide support for ad-hoc projects as required. • Perform other duties as assigned • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role: • Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent qualification. • Minimum of 2-3 years of audit experience. • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative. • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working with Oracle systems is preferred. • Strong analytical skills and a positive attitude. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word and MS Excel.
