Maintenance Supervisor

Main Duties Customer Service Provides a courteous and professional service at all times. Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up. Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. Interacts and sustains good working relationships with colleagues and external guests. Operational Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Resort and the satisfaction of Resort guests. Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments. Carries out and completes all maintenance works/requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality of finishing work. Pays particular attention to guest related jobs. Operates assigned machines/ equipment or “Primary Plant” as to provide continuous and consistent utilities required for operations. Handles the verification, storage and utilisation of all fuel deliveries to the premises as per the established policy and procedures. Avoids unsightly hazards and complies with all local regulations and codes. Properly handles and maintains all power tools. Submits request to the Assistant Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Manager for the purchases of parts and consumables. Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties. Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations Ensures fire, life and safety systems are operational. Operational (Continued) Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety; e.g., such as attending to fire alarms, lift rescue. Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Reports any abnormal conditions noticed at any time in line with safety related equipment or installation to Assistant Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Manager. Assists other tradespersons or technicians when requested by Superiors. Administers, maintains and updates of works requests in the Maintenance Connection system. Other Duties Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming. Responds to changes in the Maintenance function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel. Reads the Resort's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the Resort's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety. Attends learning sessions and meetings as and when required. Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. Assumes the duties and roles as Assistant Maintenance Manager in the absence of the Assistant Maintenance Manager, or under the directives from superiors. Manages, supervises and provides guidance for subordinates.
