Responsibilities: Operational Oversight and Support: Assist the Data Center Facility Manager in managing day-to-day operations. Provide technical support on new project initiatives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project completion. Documentation and Compliance: Conduct daily, weekly and monthly mechanical & electrical equipment inspection plan Assist and execute policies and guidelines. Team Leadership and Development: Assist in mentoring operations staff, including engineers and technical staff. Assist in developing learning plans for staff skills development. Performance and Efficiency: Conduct gap assessments and develop action plans to address identified mechanical & electrical areas for improvement. Assist in any other quality improvement process implementation for continuous operational efficiencies. Incident and Problem Management: Part of primary escalation point for operational incidents and ensure prompt resolution. Assist in analyzing root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Assist in developing and maintaining incident response and disaster recovery protocols. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Relevant certifications in data center management, such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional), DCIE (Data Center Infrastructure Expert), or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in data center operations, with a focus on leadership roles. Hands-on experience with HVAC, cooling, and fire suppression systems, including troubleshooting and repairs. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling units (CRAC/CRAH), chillers, and air handling units (AHUs). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical diagrams, and technical manuals. Professional Engineer (PE) license or Electrical Engineer Certification is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues, develop solutions quickly, and implement them effectively. Capable of analyzing power data and system performance to make informed decisions about capacity planning, upgrades, and maintenance. Possess leadership skills with the ability to lead a team. Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
