Job Overview:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of IT systems within the production environment of the bank. This role involves conducting system testing, identifying issues, and working closely with IT production support and development teams to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Testing:

  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on banking applications and IT systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis of issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

IT Production Support & Incident Management:

  • Collaborate with IT Production Support teams to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews and production system monitoring.
  • Assist in troubleshooting incidents and ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
  • Ensure change requests and patches are properly tested before deployment.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to enhance system reliability.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve development and testing processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in banking technology, automation tools, and best practices.
  • Support process automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency.

Key Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in software testing, QA, or IT production support in banking/financial services.
  • Experience with banking applications, payment systems, or financial transaction processing.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
  • Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework, incident management, and change management processes.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Cobol, Python, Shell) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications:

  • ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level or higher)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Relevant banking/financial services certifications (optional)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
