Responsibilities:

  • First level of full people management – leads a team through expertise in most or all areas within a function or mastery of a specific professional discipline.
  • Evaluate, prepare and assign work to appropriate design personnel in a timely manner. Take corrective action when necessary. Provide input to Design Leader regarding status of pending work.
  • Maintain design timing schedule and check to ensure there is no progress conflict.
  • Work closely with the assigned engineer to ensure all content is being covered.
  • Attend, initiate, and participate in assigned program design reviews.
  • Develop feasibility of design concepts with engineers for functional and manufacturing capability.
  • May be required to coordinate more than one project (depending on project content).
  • Must maintain good communication using all available tools. (i.e.: email, phone call, WebEx, Skype for Business, PowerPoint, etc…).
  • Provide guidance to Junior Electrical Desing Engineers in the event that the department head is not available.
  • Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
  • To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent years of related experience.
  • Preferably 8 years & above of working experience in wiring schematic design of automation machine.
  • Must be able to design the schematic diagram based on UL Standard.
