Kindergarten Teacher Job Description
Curriculum Planning:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with the educational goals of the kindergarten program.
Classroom Management:
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment by managing student behavior and fostering a safe, nurturing atmosphere.
Instructional Delivery:
Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote the development of foundational skills in language, mathematics, social-emotional learning, and other core areas.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess students' progress and development using a variety of methods to track individual achievements and identify areas for improvement.
Parent Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, providing regular updates on students’ academic and social development and addressing any concerns or questions.
Collaboration with Colleagues:
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school staff to coordinate activities, share resources, and ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience for all students.
Individualized Support:
Adapt teaching strategies and provide additional support to meet the diverse learning needs of individual students, including those with special educational requirements.
Health and Safety:
Ensure the health and safety of students by implementing established protocols, supervising daily activities, and responding appropriately to emergencies or incidents.
Professional Development:
Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education by attending workshops, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, attendance, and any relevant incidents. Prepare reports and participate in parent-teacher conferences to discuss students’ performance.
Enrichment Activities:
Plan and participate in extracurricular activities, field trips, and special events that enrich the overall learning experience and promote student enjoyment and engagement.
Cultural Sensitivity:
Foster a culturally responsive and inclusive environment that respects, values, and celebrates diversity among students and their families.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,710.00 - RM2,510.10 per month
