Job Summary

JF Technology is seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to drive the simulation, design, and optimization of high-performance test sockets for 5G, mmWave, HBM, radar, and high-frequency applications. This role requires expertise in CST Studio Suite for electromagnetic simulation, impedance matching, and signal integrity analysis. The ideal candidate will contribute to developing innovative RF solutions, ensuring optimal performance, and solving challenges related to high-speed and high-power applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform electromagnetic (EM) simulations using CST Studio Suite to analyse signal integrity, impedance matching, insertion loss, and crosstalk.
  • Design and optimize High Frequency Test Sockets for HBM, high-frequency, and radar applications, ensuring minimal RF losses.
  • Conduct full-wave EM simulations for RF sockets, coaxial and differential structures to validate RF performance.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure integration of RF and mechanical aspects in socket design.
  • Optimize materials and structure to achieve low insertion loss, controlled impedance, and high isolation.
  • Support PCB design teams in optimizing high-frequency interconnects between socket and DUT.
  • Work closely with test engineers and customers to troubleshoot RF-related performance issues.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new socket architectures, exploring novel approaches to RF shielding and transmission.
  • Provide technical documentation and presentations on simulation results, design trade-offs, and validation processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advanced RF modeling techniques, and test methodologies.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0 to 5+ years of experience in RF/microwave design and simulation.
  • Strong proficiency in CST Studio Suite for full-wave EM simulations (e.g., TDR analysis, S-parameters, field distributions).
  • Knowledge of high-frequency PCB design, signal integrity (SI), and power integrity (PI) concepts.
  • Experience with coaxial and waveguide structures, impedance matching, and RF material selection.
  • Understanding of test sockets, probe cards, and high-speed interconnects in semiconductor testing.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) measurement results and correlate them with simulations.
  • Hands-on experience with CST, HFSS, ADS, or other RF simulation tools.
  • Ability to develop custom scripts (Python, MATLAB, VBA, etc.) for automation of RF simulations and data processing
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach to RF design challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and precision in RF engineering.
