Job Summary:

The position is responsible for overseeing daily retail operations to ensure smooth store functionality. This includes delivering exceptional customer service, supporting the achievement of sales targets, maintaining inventory, merchandising, and ensuring store cleanliness, all while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Experience

  • Provide outstanding customer service by:
  • Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Assisting customers with product selections, offering styling advice, and addressing inquiries.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, ensuring a positive resolution.
  • Ensure customers have a satisfying shopping experience and leave the store content.
  • Monitor store activities and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize incidents of theft, shrinkage, or accidents.

Sales and Product Knowledge

  • Engage customers actively to boost sales through upselling, cross-selling, and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of product offerings, services, and market trends to communicate their features, benefits, and latest trends effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with the store's inventory, new product releases, and promotional offers.
  • Assist in activities that help meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.

Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation

  • Support the Store Manager in maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store layout, ensuring products are displayed properly, sufficiently stocked, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Actively participate in stock replenishment, inventory receiving, rotation, and proper signage placement.
  • Collaborate with the visual merchandising team and Store Manager to create attractive displays that enhance the store's overall aesthetic appeal.

Point of Sale (POS) Operations

  • Accurately and efficiently process sales transactions using the store’s POS system.
  • Handle payments (cash, credit, etc.) securely, following store cash handling policies.
  • Assist the Supervisor/Manager with preparing daily cash reports and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support the Supervisor/Manager in compiling timely reports related to sales, customer service, finance, and logistics.

Operational Excellence

  • Assist the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment, ensuring proper storage of stock, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Aid the Store Manager in submitting reports promptly, or take on responsibilities in their absence.
  • Monitor store cleanliness and organization, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Regularly check and replenish essential supplies, such as shopping bags and receipt rolls.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to store management.
  • Serve as a secondary key holder, assisting with opening and closing procedures.

Inventory Management

  • Assist in monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock counts, and notifying management when stock needs replenishment.
  • Help place replenishment orders to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid out-of-stock situations.
  • Participate in regular, ethical stocktaking procedures as per SOPs, ensuring integrity throughout the process.

Team Collaboration

  • Support the Store Manager in training and developing junior retail associates, ensuring consistent high-quality customer service.
  • Act as a role model for the team, demonstrating a strong work ethic, product knowledge, and a positive attitude.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals and foster a positive, enjoyable work environment.
  • Assist colleagues during peak periods or as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current with product knowledge and company policies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
