Responsibilities
1. Review of all requirements and specifications documentation for clarity, completeness and testability.
2. Create test requirements and test data for use during the functional and system test phases of the software development process for new and existing application.
3. Develop test plan, design test cases, write and execute test cases, log test results and defects, prepare test summary test reports, review test artefacts
4. Responsible to create test specification that covers test cases, pre-conditions, inputs data and expected output data
5. Study and analyze functional specification to develop test cases.
6. Analyze test results to identify discrepancies and failures.
7. Ensure the timely delivery of testing milestones.
8. Review System Test Specifications
9. Review Test plans and Testing of large modules and systems.
10. Ensure User acceptance of customer deliveries on a customer site, and dealing with customer issues.
11. Suggest Automation Approaches if any for the desired functions.
12. Effectively convey product and testing requirements to the members of the testing and product development team.
13. Adherence to SLAs.
Duties
1. Design and develop tools for test management, execution and reporting to enhance the overall software testing process
2. Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for program design, product evaluation and quality assurance
3. Review computer operating log to identify program processing errors.
4. Observes computer monitoring/performance metrics during program test to detect error codes or interruption of program and corrects errors.
5. Identifies differences between established standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
6. Adapts to new Testing software/ALM software that the company might decide to use.
7. Conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
8. Test implementations/integrations with third party platforms.
9. Writes documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
10. May develop utility program to test, track, and verify defects in software program
11. Evaluate and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
12. Plan, design, and author effective test cases
