We are looking for a Process Engineer to be based in Port Klang.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes in formwork and steel manufacturing.
- Utilize process simulation software to model and analyze production processes.
- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams and material balances.
- Implement process control systems to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
- Review and develop working instruction and other standard operation procedure.
- Analyse rejection type, quality issue and improvement activities.
- Review process flow and motion time study base on value stream mapping.
- And any other instruction relevant to the job functions that may be given to you from time to time.
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial or similar).
- 5+ years of experience as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of process optimisation techniques, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Proficient in process analysis, process modelling, statistical analysis and simulation software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
- Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S and Value Stream Mapping.
- Knowledge of automation and control systems, such as SCADA and PLC.
- Knowledge of process simulation software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
- Solid understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO standards.
