Job Description

To be responsible for a clinical caseload and ensuring that the patient receives appropriate treatment to a high professional standard.
To work as a lone practitioner with support available from a Senior Therapist if required.
To adhere to proper care and safe working practises in handling patients and equipment.
To undertake assessment of patients, using clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques while seeking support from the Senior Therapist where appropriate.
To liaise with Senior Therapists to identify the most suitable programmes to suit patient needs.
Liaise with other healthcare providers to provide and receive relevant information about medical history and progress in regards to patients’ care.
To monitor patient during treatment and reassess patient after completion of every treatment rendered.
To continually evaluate patients’ progress, reassess and alter treatment programmes if required.
To ensure adequate education and counseling of patients and their relatives in the course of a patient’s rehabilitation.
To advise the Senior Therapist on issues of service delivery.
To provide support, guidance and training to Physio Aides.

Job Requirements

Degree in Physiotherapy
Comprehensive knowledge of physiotherapy interventions, practise methods and professional skills.
Good understanding of roles of other health care professionals.
Up-to-date knowledge of physiotherapy theories, practises and procedures.
Working knowledge of computer software (email, internet) and Microsoft Office applications.
