About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic R&D Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems for our innovative projects. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles to support the development of cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for new and existing products.
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including embedded engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to meet project goals.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance product quality and functionality.
- Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes to optimize cost and performance.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
- Continuously seeking opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Relevant experience at least 3 years and above.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation is an advantage.
