Job Title: Engineering Assistant Manager / BIM Manager
Location: Selangor

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Assistant Manager (EAM) & BIM Manager to join our team. This role requires expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM), engineering planning, and project coordination to support our construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee BIM implementation, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide technical support across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Planning, Execution & Monitoring:

  • Assist the Engineering General Manager (EGM) / Project Leader in preparing and reviewing Structural, Architectural, M&E shop drawings, and BIM models.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including BIM standards and protocols.
  • Coordinate project specifications and requirements with project teams.
  • Prepare presentation and preliminary drawings, including BIM visualizations and clash detection reports.
  • Monitor and update changes to drawings, designs, and BIM models.
  • Oversee BIM implementation across all project phases, ensuring integration and efficiency.
  • Provide BIM-related training and support to project teams.
  • Monitor BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure adherence to industry standards.

General & Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Promote occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.
  • Ensure personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors comply with project standards and regulations.
  • Safeguard the safety of all personnel involved in operations.

Other Tasks:

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by EGM / Project Leader.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for BIM process improvements.

RequirementsQualifications:

  • Diploma or higher in Architectural / Civil & Structural (C&S) Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional certifications in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM (CIDB BIM Manager or equivalent).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting & coordination in Architectural / C&S Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in BIM execution planning, clash detection, and digital collaboration.
  • Experience in training and providing technical support on BIM workflows.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and MS Office.
  • Strong technical drawing, presentation, and computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to liaise with authorities and consultants.
  • Ability to work nationwide, with flexibility for extended working hours when needed.
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken) for meetings with clients and consultants.

  • CIDB BIM Manager accreditation is required (Competency allowance will be provided).
