Job Description:
Safety Compliance & Regulations:
- Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations.
- Stay updated with local, state, and federal safety laws and implement necessary changes.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control:
- Identify and evaluate workplace hazards and risks.
- Recommend and enforce preventive measures to reduce risks.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
Emergency Preparedness & Response:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Conduct fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid training.
- Act as a first responder in case of workplace incidents.
Training & Awareness:
- Provide safety training to employees, including PPE usage, fire safety, and hazard communication.
- Promote a safety-conscious culture through workshops and awareness campaigns.
Incident Investigation & Reporting:
- Investigate workplace accidents and near-miss incidents.
- Prepare detailed reports and suggest corrective actions.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
Safety Equipment & Compliance:
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct routine checks on fire extinguishers, alarms, and other safety devices.
Site Safety Work:
- To conduct regular site safety walk-through inspections.
- Monitor the site safety work being carried out.
Other:
- Any safety and health work assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
- Certification in workplace safety (safety coordinator and etc) is an advantage.
- At least one year experience in related field.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Willing to work at Taiping, Perak.
