  • Procurement Processes: Set up and maintain the process for approving and monitoring vendors, ensuring they follow ethical standards (anti-corruption and bribery) and adhere to company policies for purchasing.
  • Manage Procurement Department: Lead and manage the Procurement Department to ensure timely sourcing of competitive bids and efficient procurement to support vessel operations and drydocking.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to understand their purchase needs, gather bids, and ensure timely delivery of items.
  • Inventory Management: Review the needs for tug maintenance and set up an inventory of spare parts to support operations.
  • Liaise on Logistics and Importation: Work with relevant authorities on logistics and import requirements.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Handle any tasks assigned by management as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with 7 years in a managerial role.
  • Industry Experience: Preferably with experience in the marine or vessel industry, including handling staff.
  • Language Skills: Must be fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with good writing skills in both languages.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Must be committed and able to travel within Malaysia on short notice.
  • Transportation: Must have a personal vehicle for travel within Malaysia.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM7,409.55 - RM10,321.01 per month
