Job Title : Business Analyst Location : Jalan PJS 8/9, 46150 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Salary : RM5,000 - RM6,000 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify and analyze business needs, develop requirements, and ensure that solutions align with organizational goals. You will work closely with project teams, product managers, and other departments to deliver effective business solutions that enhance performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and technical needs. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand user needs and define clear requirements. Translate business needs into clear and actionable documentation for development teams (e.g., user stories, use cases, business rules). Business Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement. Design and propose streamlined business processes that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. Map current and future state business processes and use process modeling tools to document these processes. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders (e.g., department heads, managers) and technical teams. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that project requirements are accurately understood and aligned with business goals. Communicate progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders and provide recommendations for resolving any challenges. Solution Design and Evaluation: Work with the project team and technical experts to design business solutions that meet defined requirements. Evaluate and recommend different solutions, considering factors like cost, time, feasibility, and business impact. Ensure that the proposed solutions align with organizational strategies and objectives. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making. Create reports and dashboards to communicate findings to key stakeholders and decision-makers. Perform cost-benefit analysis and assess the impact of potential solutions or changes. Project Support and Management: Participate in the planning and implementation of business projects, ensuring requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to. Assist in project management tasks, such as tracking project progress, documenting meeting notes, and providing status updates. Ensure effective change management practices are in place when transitioning to new systems or processes. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test cases and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements. Work closely with the QA team to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested and meet the defined quality standards. Address any issues identified during testing and work with the technical team to resolve them. Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor implemented solutions and processes to ensure ongoing effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend strategies to optimize business operations. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant insights into business practices. Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or related fields (advanced certifications like CBAP, PMI-PBA are a plus). Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role, ideally within the [industry, e.g., software, finance, healthcare]. Experience with business process modeling, requirements gathering, and documentation. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) or customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus. Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, processes, and systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio). Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred: Experience in change management and organizational transformation. Ability to think critically and problem-solve complex business challenges.
