Job Requirements (1) To register your Site Safety Supervisor License (Yellow Book) at the project site. (2) To check, control, and ensure daily operation at the site is adhered to Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022, and legal and corporate requirements. (3) To anticipate, prevent, and eliminate all unsafe conditions and practices at site that could lead to occupational injuries and illness. (4) Work closely with all department heads to provide input related to safety, health, and environmental matters. (5) Involvement in risk/hazard assessment at site and all the identified hazards shall be attended to and recorded. (6) Liaise with DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, and local authorities. (7) Ensure workers’ passports, working permits, permits to work (PTW), CIDB, or any other necessary documents are always valid to work at the site. (8) Conduct weekly Safety and Health inspections around the work site to ensure compliance with the S&H plan, procedures, and statutory regulations. (9) Conduct safety briefing/training/ induction to all new employees, contractors, vendors, etc. (10) To prepare Safety Reports, Job Safety Analysis, HIRADC, lifting plans, etc. (11) To be involved in an incident investigation if there is any incident at the site. (12) To assist during audits and inspections and maintain all documentation and records. (13) Conduct regular check-ups on equipment such as lifts, cranes, scaffolding, and electrical equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and safe to use. (14) To assist the Project Manager/SHO in setting workers' workplace, attendance, and quarters. (15) Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Job Responsibility (1) To champion all HSE matters at project site to maintain a safe workplace. (2) To assist Safety and Health Officer in relevant documentation. (3) To ensure that workers at site are properly trained regarding our OSH Act, Client's safety requirements and our safety requirements, by means of safety induction, daily toolbox briefing, periodic safety meetings and formal training session. (4) To be proactively involve in ensuring proper practices are observed on the workplace, by performing safety inspections and safety walkabouts. (5) To ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, for example periodic checking of fire facilities, verifying first aid kits and ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained following the appropriate schedule. (6) To ensure that all activities at project site are in compliance with all safety-related regulatory requirements by knowing and being aware of obligations specific to the work area. (7) To ensure the accurate reporting of manhours worked and Unsafe Act Unsafe Condition (UAUC). (8) Keep on track on staff competency, for instance CIDB, Chargeman and others. (9) To carry out the responsibilities of project based SSS. (10) Any other reasonable task that may be assigned from time to time. (11) Other ad-hoc task as assigned. (12) Travelling outstation for site work as and when require. (13) Working late, through weekend or public holiday as and when require.
