UI /UX Designer

Job Title: UI/UX Designer Location: Jalan PJS 8/9, 46150 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Job Summary: We are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design and improve the user interface and user experience for our digital products. You will create intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional designs that deliver an excellent user experience. Key Responsibilities: User Research: Conduct user research and gather feedback from users to understand their needs, pain points, and preferences. Use techniques such as surveys, interviews, and user testing to collect insights and feedback. Analyze user behavior and usability data to inform design decisions. Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for new features or product updates. Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate user flows and interactions. Use tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or InVision to create and test prototypes. UI Design: Design the visual layout and elements of the product, including buttons, menus, icons, typography, color schemes, and other interactive elements. Ensure the design is consistent with the overall brand guidelines and visual identity. Work on responsive design to ensure the interface looks great on various screen sizes, from mobile devices to desktops. UX Design: Focus on improving the overall user experience by analyzing and optimizing user flows. Design intuitive navigation systems, ensuring users can easily interact with and navigate through the product. Ensure accessibility, ensuring that the design accommodates users with disabilities (e.g., WCAG compliance). Collaborating with Development Teams: Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively. Provide clear and detailed design specifications, including interactive behaviors and style guides. Participate in design reviews, collaborate on technical feasibility, and ensure the final product aligns with the design vision. User Testing and Feedback: Conduct usability testing on prototypes and live products to identify areas of improvement. Analyze feedback from usability tests, surveys, and analytics to refine and enhance designs. Iterate on designs based on feedback to enhance the overall user experience. Maintaining Design Consistency: Ensure a cohesive and consistent visual language across all design materials. Develop and maintain design systems or style guides to ensure consistency across platforms. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies in the field of UI/UX design. Experiment with new design techniques and methodologies to improve workflow and output. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other team members to define project goals and deliverables. Attend project meetings to provide design expertise, share insights, and ensure design requirements are met. Documentation and Reporting: Document the design process, from ideation to final execution, ensuring all steps are clearly recorded. Prepare design presentations and reports for stakeholders to communicate design choices and rationale. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: UI/UX Design Tools: Proficiency in tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, and Axure for designing and prototyping. Wireframing & Prototyping: Experience in wireframing, prototyping, and creating interactive mockups. Design Systems: Knowledge of design systems, patterns, and best practices for ensuring consistency in user interfaces. Front-End Development (Optional): Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, although not always required. User Research: Experience in conducting user research, usability testing, and analyzing data to improve the user experience. Responsive Design: Understanding of designing for multiple screen sizes and devices, including mobile, tablet, and desktop. Soft Skills: Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail in design, ensuring high-quality work. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address user needs and enhance the overall experience. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present design ideas and collaborate with teams. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Creativity: A creative mindset to innovate and design engaging and visually appealing interfaces. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. 2+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer or in a similar role. A strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work, including case studies and examples of past projects. Experience with user-centered design principles and methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing for mobile applications or web applications. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments. Familiarity with user journey mapping and persona creation. Experience in creating high-fidelity prototypes and interactive user flows.
