Job Overview:The Site Supervisor (Plumbing) will oversee and manage plumbing operations on construction sites. This role is critical in ensuring that plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations. The Site Supervisor will coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain a high level of quality and productivity. Working hours will be Monday to Saturday (8AM to 5:30PM).

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision:

  • Supervise a team of plumbers, pipefitters, and other plumbing staff on-site.
  • Ensure all plumbing work is completed to the highest standards, following design specifications, codes, and safety regulations.

    Project Coordination:

    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure plumbing tasks are aligned with the overall project timeline and objectives.
    • Ensure proper scheduling of work tasks to avoid delays.

      Quality Control:

      • Perform regular site inspections to assess the quality of work, adherence to plans, and compliance with building codes.
      • Troubleshoot any issues on-site and resolve them promptly to ensure smooth workflow.

        Safety Management:

        • Implement and enforce health and safety standards in compliance with local laws and company policies.
        • Conduct daily safety briefings and inspections to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.

          Materials and Inventory Management:

          • Oversee the delivery, storage, and use of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
          • Ensure adequate stock levels and that materials are used efficiently to minimize waste.

            Reporting:

            • Maintain accurate records of work completed, daily site activities, and any issues encountered during the project.
            • Report on progress, delays, and potential risks to the project manager and stakeholders.

              Client Interaction:

              • Communicate directly with clients or their representatives, addressing any concerns or queries related to plumbing work.

                Team Training:

                • Provide guidance and training to junior plumbers and apprentices on-site to develop their skills and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Proven experience managing plumbing teams on construction sites.

      Certifications:

      • Valid plumbing license and/or certification as required by local regulations.
      • OSHA or other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
