Sourcing & Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, both locally and internationally.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, including those in Mandarin-speaking regions.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
Procurement Process Management:
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying needs to placing purchase orders.
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services and maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
Market Research & Cost Control:
- Conduct market research to identify new trends, products, and pricing options.
- Analyze and track procurement spend to help reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Support in developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, logistics, and operations) to understand procurement needs and specifications.
- Act as the main point of contact for Mandarin-speaking suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and negotiations.
- Provide regular updates and reports on procurement activities to management.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure that procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of contracts, agreements, and vendor communications.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
Language Skills:
- Proficiency in Mandarin (both written and spoken) is essential.
- Strong English communication skills.
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience working with Mandarin-speaking suppliers or markets is a plus.
