* Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and industry standards.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard identification to identify potential safety risks and implement effective control measures.
* Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and walk-throughs to identify unsafe conditions or practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Develop and deliver safety training programs and materials for employees to increase safety awareness and promote a safety-conscious culture.
* Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and other safety-related activities.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
* Effectively communicate safety information to employees, management, and other stakeholders, and collaborate with other departments to address safety concerns.
* Regularly review and update safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure their effectiveness and relevance.
* Ensure the safety of personnel involved in tower climbing, maintenance, and installation activities.
* Implement safety protocols for the operation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment, including generators, power supplies, and other infrastructure.
* Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety Management System is implemented in their area of responsibility.
* Monitoring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in their area of responsibility.
* Ensuring all sub-contractors engaged are pre-qualified in accordance with procedures and that the adequacy of their Occupational Health and Safety System has been verified.
* Ensure all Direct Reports fully understand the health and safety responsibilities of their position
* Providing accurate reports on health and safety performance measures as required by the Regional Manager.
* Undertaking regular performance reviews of the designated health and safety responsibilities of all Direct Reports.
* Investigating and reporting on accidents when required, accurately and in a timely manner.
* Undertaking specific training as required to ensure own work is performed safely.
* Ensuring no personal act or omission causes harm to self or others.
* Reporting and recording all accidents accurately and promptly.
