STRANDING MACHINE SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY: The Stranding Machine Specialist is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of stranding machines used in the manufacturing of metal cables, plaited bands, and similar articles. This role ensures the stranding process runs efficiently, producing high-quality products that meet industry standards for both local and international markets. The specialist will also work to improve machine performance, resolve technical issues, and implement best practices in production. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Machine Operation and Supervision - Oversee and operate stranding machines for the production of metal cables and plaited bands. - Adjust and set up machines to meet specific production requirements, such as wire tension, alignment, and speed. - Ensure consistent quality control during the stranding process. 2) Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting - Perform regular maintenance on stranding machines to prevent machine breakdowns and minimize downtime. - Identify, diagnose, and resolve any issues with the stranding process or equipment. - Ensure spare parts inventory is managed and that preventive maintenance schedules are followed. 3) Quality Control and Testing: - Inspect and monitor the quality of finished products, ensuring they meet company standards and client specifications. - Perform tests on stranded wires for uniformity, strength, and durability. - Work with the quality control team to implement corrective actions when necessary. 4) Process Optimization: - Continuously evaluate and optimize the stranding process for better efficiency, product quality, and material usage. - Implement new techniques or machine upgrades to increase throughput and reduce defects. - Collaborate with production teams to align output with production targets. 5) Safety and Compliance: - Ensure that all machinery and processes comply with safety standards and regulations. - Provide safety training to junior machine operators and production staff. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace following workplace safety practices. 6) Export and Import Coordination (For Exported Product): - Work with logistics and export teams to ensure products are manufactured and packaged according to international standards. - Ensure production meets deadlines and quality standards for export shipments. 7) Collaboration with R&D Engineer: - Provide feedback on machine performance and suggest improvements or new technologies. - Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to develop new product designs or enhance existing ones. QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS: Education: - Study Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields. Experiences - 5 years of experience or more in a similar role, particularly in cable manufacturing, stranding, or mechanical operations. - Hands-on experience with industrial stranding machine and production machine. Skill and Knowledge: - Strong knowledge of stranding, wire drawing, and cable manufacturing processes. - Understanding of machine troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic electrical/mechanical repairs. - Familiarity with quality control standards and testing methods. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
