The role:
As a Software Asset Management (SAM) Compliance and Data Intelligence Lead you will help drive our goals by:
• Day to Day coaching and leadership of SAM Analysts working within the SAM team, ensuring you lead by example by independently managing and leading all development and implementation of a solid license compliance and data intelligence strategy to ensure clear transparency of cost and risk exposure on the estate is understood, and clearly presented to Johnson Matthey IT Leadership.
• Responsible for leading the continual improvement of the software asset management (SAM) processes; and operating mechanisms to ensure effective license compliance across JM via collaboration with the Software Asset Manager to optimise license usage and reduce costs.
• Responsible for utilising data intelligence tools and techniques to analyse software usage patterns, trends, and potential areas for software license optimisation by taking accountability for insights and recommendations based on data analysis to influence decision-making processes and establish JM’s influential license position to support the renewals team as and when required by ensuring the availability of data intelligence for JM to optimise on any upcoming software renewals.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
• Awareness and understanding of the software license management industry, current trends and emerging challenges
• Experience in BMC Software Atrium CMDB and/or SNOW License Manager or other leading ITSM tools
