Senior Interior Designer
Project and Development Services (PDS)
What this job involves
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading the design and delivery of workplace projects. You'll work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives and translate these into innovative and impactful design solutions. You'll have extensive experience in workplace design and will be an expert in developing design concepts, space planning, and detailed drawings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the design and delivery of innovative workplace projects, inside a collaborative, dynamic, and multi-cultural work environment.
Lead the development of design concepts, space planning, layouts, and detailed drawings for interior workplace design projects.
Work closely with clients and stakeholders to establish project goals and objectives, and translate these into design solutions that are innovative, functional, and on-brand.
Conduct research on new products, materials, and design trends to ensure that design concepts are innovative and relevant.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior and intermediate designers to support their professional development.
Contribute to the development of company standards, processes, and best practices.
Develop detailed drawings and specifications, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, and communicate these effectively to project teams.
Review and provide feedback on shop drawings, construction documents, and other project-related materials to ensure that design intent is being met.
Conduct site visits and coordinate with project teams to ensure that design solutions are being implemented as intended.
Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, proposal writing, and relationship-building.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project.
Oversee the quality of project deliverables to ensure that they meet or exceed client expectations.
Contribute to the development of workplace design strategies and trends, positioning the company as a thought leader in the industry.

Desired experience and technical skills
Required
A degree in interior design or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in workplace interior design.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge of workplace design trends, building codes, and industry standards.
Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience leading design projects from concept to completion.
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior designers.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior designers and provide guidance to team members.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Preferred
