Job Overview: As the Managing Director of our ICT company specializing in the biotechnology sector, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's operations, driving growth, and ensuring the successful execution of our business strategies. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy Development: Lead the company in the development and execution of business strategies aimed at achieving both short-term and long-term growth objectives. Formulate and implement plans for integrating ICT solutions with biotechnology advancements, improving efficiency and product quality. Direct and supervise senior management and staff, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives. Operational Management: Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning and optimal performance of both ICT and biotechnology projects. Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure that all departments (R&D, ICT infrastructure, marketing, finance, etc.) work cohesively towards common business goals. Financial Management: Manage the company's financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to ensure profitability. Ensure that the company maintains a sustainable revenue stream through strategic partnerships, sales, and investments. Lead fundraising efforts when necessary and maintain positive relationships with investors, ensuring continued financial support for R&D and business growth. Innovation & R&D Oversight: Collaborate with R&D teams to stay at the forefront of technological and biotechnological developments. Champion innovation initiatives, ensuring the company remains competitive in an evolving market. Ensure that new technologies are efficiently integrated into the company’s offerings, keeping ahead of market trends and customer needs. Business Development & Market Expansion: Lead efforts to expand into new markets and identify new business opportunities in the biotechnology sector, including international markets. Build strategic partnerships with other technology providers, biotechnology firms, and research institutions. Promote the company’s products and services at industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the company complies with all relevant industry regulations, including ICT and biotechnology-specific compliance standards. Monitor and mitigate risks associated with technology implementation, data security, intellectual property, and product development. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with the board of directors, shareholders, employees, and external partners. Act as the primary spokesperson for the company in front of stakeholders, investors, and the public. Provide regular updates on company performance, future direction, and key initiatives. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Biotechnology, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a senior management position, ideally within an ICT or biotechnology company. Proven track record in business development, financial management, and strategic leadership within the technology or biotechnology sector. In-depth knowledge of the ICT and biotechnology industries, including emerging trends, regulations, and best practices. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams and drive innovation. Experience in managing large-scale operations and navigating complex market landscapes.
