The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

About the Team:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic leader to oversee our Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Enforcement and Seller Appeals operations. This role will be responsible for managing both the IPR enforcement team, which detects and acts against intellectual property violations, and the seller appeals team, which handles seller disputes and ensures fair resolution processes.

The ideal candidate will develop and execute policies to protect intellectual property rights, combat counterfeit activities, and foster a transparent and compliant marketplace for brands and sellers. They will also play a key role in optimizing the appeals process, ensuring that enforcement actions are accurate, data-driven, and aligned with platform policies.

This position requires expertise in e-commerce enforcement strategies, compliance frameworks, and seller relations, along with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. The successful candidate will work closely with legal, fraud and customer operations teams to maintain trust and fairness within the platform.
Job Description:
IPR Enforcement
  • Lead the IPR enforcement team in identifying and addressing intellectual property violations.
  • Develop and refine IPR enforcement strategies, leveraging data and technology for improved accuracy.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, and marketplace operations teams to enhance enforcement frameworks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international e-commerce laws and IP protection regulations.
  • Provide data-driven insights on enforcement trends
Seller Appeals
  • Lead the seller appeals team in responding to appeals for prohibited listings.
  • Ensuring that the team addresses seller appeals in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the seller appeals process, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and compliance with policies.
  • Optimize operational workflows to reduce errors, enhance automation, and improve seller experience.
  • Provide data-driven insights on appeals performance.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in IP enforcement, compliance, trust & safety, or seller operations within e-commerce.
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws and experience in customer service
  • Experience managing IP enforcement workflows and customer service workflow.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory environments in online marketplaces.
