Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Intern to assist the Planning Manager in a construction and property development company. This role provides hands-on experience in project planning, coordination, and administration, offering valuable insights into the construction and real estate industry in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination:
  • Assist in preparing project schedules, work programs, and reports.
  • Support the Planning Manager in tracking project milestones, deadlines, and progress.
  • Help in updating and maintaining project documentation and databases.
  • Data Collection & Analysis:
  • Gather and compile project-related data, including site progress, costs, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in analyzing project performance and timelines using software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on findings.
  • Liaison & Communication:
  • Assist in coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Attend meetings and take minutes, ensuring that key action points are followed up.
  • Support in drafting letters, emails, and reports related to project planning.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Support:
  • Help in reviewing and ensuring compliance with local construction regulations and development guidelines.
  • Assist in obtaining and organizing approvals, permits, and licenses required for projects.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and planning documents.
  • Assist in other administrative tasks related to project planning and development.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of construction processes, project management, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
