We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Clerk to assist with the policy issuance and payment follow-up process for general insurance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations from quotation to policy activation while handling basic administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Policy Issuance:

  • Prepare and process insurance policies after quotations are sent to customers.
  • Verify accuracy of customer information and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Issue insurance certificates and documents as required.
  • Quotation and Payment Follow-up:
  • Send quotations to customers and provide clarifications as needed.
  • Follow up with customers on quotations, answer questions, and provide guidance through the decision-making process.
  • Monitor pending payments and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to update payment records.

2.Customer Service:

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to their policies, payments, and quotations.
  • Provide assistance with policy renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
  • Resolve issues or escalate them to appropriate departments when necessary.

3.Basic Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the system.
  • Organize and file documents, both physical and digital.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations as required.
  • Perform data entry and manage correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent; a certificate or degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an insurance or administrative role is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of general insurance policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with insurance software is an advantage.
